I've always been fascinated by the whole Glass family saga, and while their story is riddled with grief and neurosis, it's also filled with humor, absurdity and especially in "Franny & Zooey", a strange kind of optimism. I've reread this book more than any other I've read, which either stands as a testimony to the book or my own laziness at seeking out new things to read (or possibly both). - jva
